Is Your Home Making You Sick?
Why Is There Mold in My House?
Mold & mold spores are everywhere. They grow on most materials used in modern home
construction. There is one more critical component for mold to spread through your home-
moisture!
A key part of a mold inspection is to find out where the moisture is coming from. Sometimes
this is an obvious "event"- a flood, leaking roof or pipes, etc. But many times the cause is not
so obvious. That's where our experience comes in- and our instruments and meters that locate
moisture.
The presence of mold can also be detected by looking for elevated levels of spores in the air in
your home. Our Air Sampling Equipment captures these in a spore trap which is sent to an
independent laboratory for analysis. This information provides additional help in locating a
potential mold problem.
